Detection of glucose in solutions also containing an alpha-hydroxy acid or a beta-diketone |
abstract |
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for measuring the presence or concentration of glucose in a sample optionally comprising alpha-hydroxy acids or beta-diketones. The method according to the invention employs a compound having at least two recognition elements for glucose, wherein the recognition elements have an interaction between the compound and glucose between the compound and alpha-hydroxy acid or beta-diketone. Oriented to be more stable than the interaction, the presence of alpha-hydroxy acids or beta-diketones does not substantially interfere with this measurement. |
