abstract |
The present invention provides an amount of demineralized fibrous bone element having an average surface area to volume ratio of 100: 1 to 20: 1, an amount of shaped non-fibrous bone element having an average surface area to volume ratio of 10: 1 or less, which is deformable. Provided is an osteoinductive / bone conductive composition comprising a sufficient amount of a biocompatible fluid phase carrier sufficient to provide the composition as a material capable of being formed. The invention also provides a method of using the composition to treat a bone defect site. |
