titleOfInvention Catalyst for selective oxidation of carbon monoxide
abstract The present invention relates to a catalyst for selectively removing carbon monoxide in a mixed gas in which excess hydrogen is present. More specifically, the present invention relates to a catalyst for selective oxidation of carbon monoxide, in which catalytic activity and selectivity are improved by adding a transition element material to an existing platinum catalyst, and the catalytic activity is continuously maintained.n n n The catalyst for the selective oxidation of carbon monoxide according to the present invention is characterized in that it comprises 0.1 to 5% by weight of platinum and 0.1 to 10% by weight of the transition element material, the remainder is composed of 100% by weight as a carrier. In the catalyst for the selective oxidation of carbon monoxide according to the present invention, the transition element material is an element material of Groups 7 to 10 (also referred to as 'Groups 7B and 8') of the periodic table, preferably manganese or cobalt. Or nickel.n n n The platinum catalyst to which the transition element material prepared according to the present invention was added not only had excellent efficiency of selectively removing carbon monoxide, but also had a wide range of catalytic activity, and could be operated at low temperatures. Therefore, the catalyst for the selective oxidation of carbon monoxide according to the present invention can selectively remove carbon monoxide contained in the hydrogen mixture prepared by the reforming of hydrocarbons without consuming hydrogen, which can greatly contribute to effectively preparing the fuel cell raw materials. .
