titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for image analysis and processing by identification of characteristic lines and corresponding parameters
abstract Methods and apparatus are provided for analyzing and processing an image by identification of characteristic lines and corresponding parameters. More specifically, this method and apparatus transforms an image into a mathematical model derived from feature lines and parameters based on the repeating image pattern. This parameter includes the center line, signature, cross section, characteristic strip, margin, end region, fitting transformation, and fitting sequence. Each of the parameters associated with the identified characteristic lines can be represented by a mathematical model that accurately approximates the geometric and luminance characteristics of each characteristic line.
