abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for performing nitrogen analysis by ion transfer spectroscopy at a concentration of trace ppb in argon. The method includes adding hydrogen at concentrations of at least 5 ppb and less than 100 ppm for the argon to be analyzed, wherein the hydrogenation step purifies the argon stream such that the total concentration of impurities excluding nitrogen is reduced to below 1 ppb. It can be prioritized by operation. |
