titleOfInvention | Weather resistant, ink jettable, radiation curable, fluid compositions particularly suitable for outdoor applications |
abstract | The low viscosity, radiation curable fluid formulations of the present invention can advantageously be used as radiation curable inks. The formulations are readily prepared for use in ink jetting systems. The viscosity of the composition is low enough that conventional solvents are not necessary to meet the necessary low ink jet viscosity requirements. After curing, the composition forms a print image that is durable, weather resistant, and wear resistant on various porous and nonporous substrates. The formulations are well suited for printing outdoor graphics on a variety of substrates, including vinyl or other polymer films often used for outdoor printing applications, in particular labels, retroreflective labels or other retroreflective articles. |
