titleOfInvention Method for removal of volatile organic compounds and odor using non-thermal plasma and apparatus thereof
abstract The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odor using low temperature plasma. The present invention is a plasma reaction that induces a chemical reaction with active free radicals formed by directly decomposing VOCs and odorous substances or ionizing air molecules under high electric field conditions in a low-temperature plasma reactor driven by high voltage pulses. A treatment step and a post-treatment step of removing unreacted VOCs and odorous substances generated in the plasma reaction treatment step from the rear of the reactor. The post-treatment step is connected to the catalyst tower 60 to the rear end of the plasma reactor 30, the POS system for oxidizing the unreacted material and residual ozone as a catalyst, or by connecting the scrubber 70 to the unreacted material and residual ozone It consists of a POSA system that is removed in aqueous solution. In other words, it is the technology to completely process volatile organic compounds and odorous substances by main treatment by low temperature plasma and post-treatment by catalyst tower or scrubber. It can be effectively used to solve pollution and odor problems.
