titleOfInvention Method for varying band gap of carbon nanotube, nano quantum device using the same and method of producing the same
abstract The present invention is a nano quantum device having a plurality of regular quantum dots to modify the band gap by inserting at least one spherical carbon fullerene at equal intervals in a single linear nanotube linearly induces elastic deformation locally. The present invention relates to a nano quantum device using a carbon nanotube that can be easily reproduced in a simple process, and a method of manufacturing the same.n n n The nano quantum device is composed of a single-ply nanotube and at least one spherical molecule inserted into the single-ply linear nanotube to cause local elastic deformation to locally modify the band gap at the inserted position. After drying in dry air, the single carbon nanotubes and the metal carbon fullerene can be obtained by self-assembly by putting together a sealed quartz tube and heating for a predetermined time.n n n The nano quantum device is applied to nanometer-sized MESFET, light receiving or light emitting device.
