abstract There is provided a catalyst for olefin polymerization having the following structural formula (1).n n n <Structure 1>n n n n n n n n Wherein R 1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1 -C 12 alkyl, C 1 -C 12 alkoxy and C 6 -C 12 aryl, R 2 and R 2 ′ are selected from hydrogen and C 1 -C 4 alkyl Each is selected, R 3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C 1 -C 12 alkyl, C 1 -C 12 alkoxy and C 6 -C 12 aryl, and M is selected from Ti, Zr, and Hf. The catalyst is suitable for the polymerization of olefins and produces polymerized products having a high molecular weight and a high comonomer insertion ratio.
