abstract | Bifunctional compound N-4-carboxyphenyl-3- (6-oxohydropurin-9-yl) propanamide monopotassium salts are produced in many crystalline forms that differ in stability. Of these crystalline forms, the most stable is what is called Type I, which is a monopotassium salt monohydrate whose water is retained as crystallized water. Other crystalline forms that are typed as type II and type III are converted to type I. Methods of synthesizing Type I and methods of converting Type II or Type III to Type I are disclosed. |
