abstract | The present invention relates to benzylidene paramethylbenzylidene sorbitol and its preparation method, and more particularly, to benzylidene paramethylbenzylidene sorbitol and its preparation method which can control the melting point. The present invention provides a benzylidene paramethylbenzylidene sorbitol prepared by mixing sorbitol, benzaldehyde and paramethylbenzaldehyde in a solvent at a molar ratio of 1: 0.01 to 2.0: 0.01 to 2.0, respectively, followed by dehydration condensation reaction. Melting point can be freely controlled by controlling the number of moles of reactant, so it can be used as nucleating agent of any kind of plastic, especially polyamide, polypropylene, polysulfide, polyolefin, polyethylene terephthalate, polyisobutene, polybutyl It can be used for plastics such as len terephthalate and nylon 6. |
