Method for differentiating a mesenchymal stem cell into neural cells |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for differentiating bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells into neurons and to a cell composition for treating neurological diseases comprising neurons differentiated from mesenchymal stem cells in the bone marrow as an active ingredient, specifically epithelial cell growth. The present invention relates to a method for differentiating mesenchymal stem cells in bone marrow into neurons by culturing in a medium containing an epidermal growth factor (EGF) and a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). According to the method of the present invention, more than 80% of cells differentiate into neurons or astrocytes, and the differentiated and proliferated neurons are cell replacement therapies for treating degenerative cranial nerve diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and dyskinesia due to brain injury. It can be widely used as a material for drug efficacy test or various research in new drug development. |
