abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing haloethylene derivatives and bromoacetylene derivatives from cinnamic acid derivatives and phenylpropiolic acid derivatives using oxone and halogen salts, respectively. Haloethylene derivatives can be prepared by dissolving in a mixed solvent and extracting with an organic solvent. Also, phenylpropiolic acid, oxone, and alkali bromide are dissolved in a mixed solvent of acetonitrile and water, followed by extraction with an organic solvent. Moacetylene derivatives can be prepared conveniently, economically and in high yield.
