abstract (i) mixed metal alkoxide complexes which are reaction products of magnesium alkoxides or aryloxides and at least one Group IVB metal-containing alkoxide or aryloxide; And (ii) a self-supported cycloalkadienyl solid catalyst component comprising a cyclic or polycyclic hydrocarbon (Cp) having 3 to 30 carbon atoms. Also disclosed are self-supported hybrid catalysts containing the components (i) and (ii) as well as (iii) Ziegler-Natta catalyst species. Methods of preparing self-supported cycloalkadienyl catalysts and self-supported hybrid catalysts and polymerizing olefins using the catalysts are also disclosed. The catalyst can produce high yields of polyolefins having a broad molecular weight distribution or bimodal distribution.
