The present invention relates to a colorant composition comprising 10 to 90% by weight of a polymer skeleton and 90 to 10% by weight of macromonomer side chains attached to the skeleton, wherein at least 20% by weight of the polymer skeleton has an amide group used as a pigment- 000 < / RTI > based on a graft copolymer. The skeleton may also have additional pigment fixers attached thereto, selected from the group consisting of aromatic esters, aromatic amines, aliphatic amines and quaternary ammonium groups, or mixtures thereof. These materials are capable of dispersing a wide variety of pigments, being useful in oily coatings, improving pigment usage efficiency, lowering paint viscosity and reducing volatile organic solvent emissions. |
