titleOfInvention | Acrylic cationic electrodeposition paint compositions |
abstract | Disclosed is a one-component acrylic cationic electrodeposition coating composition which is particularly excellent in UV stability, gloss retention, and yellowing resistance, and which can be cured at a low temperature, and the dried coating film forms an acrylic-urethane structure and is free of heavy metal components harmful to humans. (a) an acrylic cationic electrodeposition resin containing a primary hydroxyl group and a quaternary sulfonium salt; (b) a polyurethane crosslinker prepared by reacting isophoronediisocyanate blocked with methylethylketoxime with trimethylol propane; and (c ) essentially contains a polyurethane crosslinker prepared by reacting ε-caprolactam with hexamethylene diisocyanate or its biuret compound. The dry coating film prepared using the electrodeposition coating composition is particularly excellent in UV stability, gloss retention, and yellowing resistance, and can be cured at low temperature, thus making it suitable as a single coating top coat. |
