abstract | The present invention relates to a method for preparing a cationic microgel and an electrodeposition coating composition containing the same, and more particularly, to improve the smoothness deterioration of the coating film and the rust preventive deterioration at the corners according to the gel particle size that may occur in the microgel manufacturing process. It relates to a method for producing a cationic microgel using a reaction product of a quaternary ammonium salt having a double bond, and to an electrodeposition coating composition imparting the rust resistance of the corner portion and the smoothness of the coating film. The microgel prepared according to the present invention has excellent compatibility with the cationic electrodeposition resin, participates in the curing reaction of the coating film, and the size of the crosslinked particles is 70 nanometers or less. Smoothing inferiority of the is improved, and a high content of the microgel can be obtained to improve the rust resistance of the corner portion. |
