The low stability of some molecular sieves can be overcome during the calcination reaction by the solid state reaction between the molecular sieve and the salt. Molecular sieves including zeolites, metal substituted aluminosilicates, and metallosilicates can be stabilized in this manner. The process of the present invention comprises the steps of mixing such molecular sieves with a salt, directly or as a slurry; The resulting mixture is then heated to remove water, organics and adsorbed species. |
