abstract | The present invention provides novel microorganisms, methods for their preparation and novel methods for producing amino acids. Mutagenesis of parental bacterial strains and selection of improved raffinate resistance phenotypes can isolate strains with improved growth properties that produce large amounts of amino acids. Microorganisms of the present invention are prepared from amino acid producing parental strains such as Corynebacteria or Brevibacteria, with parental strains producing L-lysine being particularly preferred. |
