The present invention relates to a method for inhibiting apoptosis induced under ischemia. The present invention includes the step of adding a quinolone (quinolone), quinone (quinone), aminoglycoside antibiotics or chloramphenicol to the individual suffering from the stop supply of oxygen and glucose. Antibiotics dramatically increase cell viability in hypoxic and low glucose states, suggesting the potential for use as therapeutic agents for ischemic diseases such as myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction. |
