Nucleotide monomer containing six-membered azasugar and antisense oligomers thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to antisense monomers and oligomers capable of inhibiting transcription in producing disease-causing proteins. The antisense monomers and oligomers of the present invention are superior to those of DNA, which are intended for general antisense drugs, to RNA. In addition, cell membrane permeability can be improved by exhibiting nuclease resistance.n n n The monomers and oligomers of the present invention can be usefully used for inhibiting the expression of genes causing disease and for hybridization of reagents for gene cloning and diagnostics. The compounds can also be used for protein analysis. |
