The present invention relates to a method of improving the performance of a cooling system such as a refrigerator and an air conditioner utilizing a cooling working fluid. The working fluid includes, as an essential component, a heat transfer fluid and a lubricant compatible with the heat transfer fluid at all operating temperatures of the cooling system, so to speak. In particular, the method relates to chlorine-free fluoro organic fluids, and more particularly to hydrofluorocarbon heat transfer fluids. Preferred lubricants include polyol ester raw materials, and mixed polyol esters that can be very well miscible with the hydrofluorocarbon heat transfer fluid. |
