abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a solution comprising urea urethane and effective as a thixotropic agent, wherein at least two structurally different monohydroxy compounds are reacted with an excess of toluylene diisocyanate to produce a monoisocyanate adduct, The unreacted portion of the ylene diisocyanate is removed and the resulting monoisocyanate adduct is reacted with diamine in an aprotic solvent in the presence of a lithium salt to produce urea urethane. The invention also relates to the use of said solution used to obtain the thixotropic coating composition. |
