Low melting, high solids spin finish compositions |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a radiation finishing composition having a low melting point and a high solid content which can be easily applied to synthetic fibers during fiber production. Radiation-treated solid constituting at least about 70% by weight of the radial finish composition is a nonionic hydrocarbon surfactant component having an < HLB > value in the range of about 2 to 13 and a melting point of from about 25 [deg.] C to about 140 [ Oxyalkylene. In some embodiments, the radial finish composition also comprises selected fluorochemicals. |
