abstract | The present invention is directed to a support via a divalent group R, wherein R is an unsubstituted or substituted C 1 -C 20 straight, branched or cyclic alkylene group, arylene, alkaryl or aralkylene group. It relates to a catalyst complex comprising a transition metal or transition metal compound having an average of one or more coordination ligands supported by the ligand. Preferably, M is Cu (I) and Y is Cl or Br and each ligand is an organic diimine group such as 1,4-diaza-1,3-butadiene, 2,2'-ratio Pyridine, pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde imine, oxazolidone or quinoline carbaldehyde group, and the support is an organic or siloxane polymer or network structure. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing a polymer or copolymer by controlling the polymerization, characterized in that the vinyl containing monomer is polymerized in the presence of an initiator and a catalyst composite according to the invention. |
