titleOfInvention Materials for Fluid Management in Personal Care Products
abstract The present invention provides a fluid treatment material for personal care products that dispenses artificial menstrual blood at a dispense rate of at least about 0.06 in the ejection / dispensing test taught herein. The fluid treatment material is preferably part of an absorbent material system having a first fibrous layer, an intermediate layer having hydrophilic oriented surface fibers adjacent to the first layer, and a second fibrous layer adjacent to the intermediate layer. In personal care product structures, the oriented surface fibers have a distribution ratio of at least 0.06, the ratio of the weight of the two end bands of the product divided by the weight of the center band.
