titleOfInvention Organic Electro luminescent Devices Using Emitting material/Clay Nano Complex Composite
abstract The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device using a polymer / clay nanocomposite. More specifically, the new composite luminescent material is made by mixing nano-sized layered clay with existing light emitting monomolecules and polymers, and polymers are combined with two-dimensional plate-like structures to induce fine quantum well-like structures and apply them to light emitting devices. By doing so, not only the luminous efficiency but also excellent blocking effect of water and oxygen can greatly contribute to enhancing the luminous stability and improving the luminous lifetime.n n n The device of the present invention comprises a transparent substrate 1, a semi-transparent electrode 2, a hole injection layer 3, a light emitting layer 4 using a clay nanocomposite material, an electron injection layer 5, and a metal electrode 6 in this order. In some cases, the hole injection layer and the electron injection layer may not be used.n n n Electroluminescence efficiency using this composite material can be improved by about 20 times or more as compared with the prior art.
