Dendritic polymer dispersants for hydrophobic particles in water-based systems |
abstract |
The present invention relates to dispersants that can be adsorbed onto hydrophobic particle surfaces in aqueous media. Dispersants include dendritic moieties having at least one ionizable moiety and at least one terminal hydrophobic long chain hydrocarbon moiety. The invention also relates to dispersions and inks in which the dispersant acts alone or as a codispersant. |
