In nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary cells, it prevents short circuits between the positive electrode and the negative electrode even if the stress generated by pressure or folding from the outside is applied to the cell while the cell is being manufactured or when the cell is used as a product. In a lithium ion battery comprising a positive electrode, a gel polymer solid electrolyte layer in the positive electrode, a separator, a gel polymer solid electrolyte layer in the negative electrode, and a laminated structure in which a negative electrode is laminated, two coating materials are formed in the ends of the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Two pairs of coverings are provided in a position on one electrode in either the positive or negative electrode opposite the positions where the two coatings are provided. Therefore, an electrical short circuit between the positive electrode and the negative electrode caused by a change in time or pressure applied to the laminated structure from the outside can be prevented. |
