abstract |
The present invention provides a DNA sequence encoding a variable region of an antibody having an enzymatic activity capable of degrading glycosidic bonds and a method of expression thereof. Antibodies encoded by the DNA of the present invention have a specificity and conjugation force to the specific sugars as well as the enzymatic activity of breaking down specific sugar bonds, as compared to conventional IgM-type catalyst antibodies. Provided are useful materials that can be used as therapeutic agents in vivo, or as long as any glycoside bonds are involved in important metabolic pathways in vivo. |
