titleOfInvention | Macroporous chitosan beads and preparation method thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to a porous chitosan bead having a large pore size and containing pores of relatively uniform size on the surface and the inside thereof, and a method for preparing the same, and a use of the porous chitosan bead as a matrix for cell culture. Specifically, a method for producing a porous chitosan bead in which a chitosan solution, a water-soluble chitosan solution, or a mixed solution thereof is added dropwise to a low temperature organic solvent or liquid nitrogen to control the size of pores by phase separation due to temperature difference, and the method is prepared by the above method. The present invention relates to a porous chitosan bead having a relatively large and uniform pore size of 5 to 200 μm on the surface and the inside thereof, and the use of the same as a substrate for animal and plant cell culture. Porous chitosan beads of the present invention can adsorb a large number of cells because they have a large surface area, are easy to inject cells compared to the conventional sponge form, and have a three-dimensional structure which is very useful for maintaining the function of cells for a long time. Therefore, it is possible to cultivate cells more efficiently than the existing substrates, so that it is not only a study for replacing metabolism organs such as liver and pancreas or cartilage and bone, but also proteins, antibiotics, anticancer agents, polysaccharides, bioactive substances, animal hormones and plant hormones. It can be effectively used in research to obtain |
