abstract | In the present invention, there is provided a composite photosensitive device suitable for storing in roll form without a cover sheet and a method of manufacturing the same. Photosensitive devices have utility in the application of imageable photosensitive layers which are often used as acid resists and insulators. The photosensitive element includes a substrate support having a back side and a coating side. The coating surface has (1) a 1st photosensitive layer and (2) a non-tacky outer layer in order. The slip force between the back side of the substrate support and the non-tacky outer layer is less than the predetermined value. This allows the trapped air to escape when the photosensitive element is wound in roll form and maintains the integrity of the thickness of the first photosensitive layer. |
