titleOfInvention | Ink jet recording paper |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording paper of the so-called plain type which is excellent in image density and color reproducibility of a recorded image, further excellent in water resistance of a printed portion, and has no pigment coated on a recording surface. According to the present invention, as a main starting material, a coagulating liquid containing a fluorescent whitening agent, a water-soluble binder and a cationic polymer fixing agent is coated on a neutral ground paper containing wood pulp, and the coats are coated with a xenon flash lamp An ink jet recording paper having a fluorescence intensity of 7 to 15% and an ISO whiteness of 95% or more as measured by the method defined in JIS P-8148 is provided. The ink jet recording paper is preferably prepared by using calcium carbonate as a filler in the raw paper, adjusting the ash content of the raw paper to 5 to 20% by a specific treatment, and fixing a specific fluorescent brightener and a specific cationic polymer fixing agent In a specific mixing ratio. |
