titleOfInvention | Process for producing modified phenolic resin |
abstract | 0.3 to 25 moles of formaldehyde compound and 0.5 to 50 moles of formula (I) (wherein R 1 is 1 to 1 ) in terms of formaldehyde relative to 1 mole of heavy oil or pitch, and 1 mole of heavy oil or pitch. Phenols represented by linear or branched unsaturated hydrocarbon groups of 2 to 10 carbon atoms having two unsaturated bonds, p is 1 or 2, X is an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and q is 0 or 1). It is a manufacturing method of the modified phenol resin which carries out a polycondensation reaction by heating and stirring in presence of an acidic catalyst.n n n The modified phenol obtained by the production method of the present invention has extremely low softening point compared with the conventional heavy oil or pitch-based modified phenol resin, and thus exhibits fluidity near room temperature and extremely low moldability due to its low melt viscosity. It is good, and furthermore, by combining with an epoxy resin, it can be a molded article excellent in heat resistance, moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, adhesiveness, and the like, and excellent in mechanical properties such as dimensional stability and strength. |
