titleOfInvention | Method for the Continuous Production of Thermoplastic Moulding Materials |
abstract | The present invention relates to a process for the production of impact resistant modified styrene polymers comprising anionic polymerization of styrene in the presence of rubber in one or more series-mounted polymerization reactors. Rubber is produced in the form of a solution during the upstream process. Rubber solvents having a boiling point lower than the boiling point of styrene or ethylbenzene are removed by distillation with evaporative cooling from one or more of the above polymerization reactors using heat generated during the polymerization process and further fed back to the rubber preparation step. |
