At this time, a number of branches are formed in the EVAL polymer due to the chain transfer in ethylene and the radical stabilizing effect of the methyl side of vinyl acetate.n n n The present invention manufactures a branchless linear EVAL polymer using ring opening metathesis polymerization, hydrogenation, and hydrolysis instead of the conventional radical random polymerization method.n n n An object of the present invention is to provide a linear EVAL polymer with improved gas barrier properties and crystallinity of the EVAL polymer used in food packaging materials, automobile fuel tanks, toys, etc. by manufacturing a linear EVAL polymer without branches.
