titleOfInvention | An iron-dextran compound for use as a component in a therapeutical composition for prophylaxis or treatment of iron-deficiency, a process for producing said iron-dextran compound and use of said compound for the preparation of a parenterally administrable therapeutical composition |
abstract | The present invention provides a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 700-1400 Daltons, preferably about 1,000 Daltons, a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 400-1400 Daltons and 90% by weight of 10% by weight having a molecular weight of less than 2,700 Daltons The weight average molecular weight is less than 3,200 Daltons and includes hydrogenated dextran purified by a membrane process with a cut-off value of 340-800 Daltons and is used for parenteral treatment of iron-deficient anemia. It relates to an iron-dextran compound used stably together. The compounds are precipitated in the presence of dextran in the presence of dextran after the membrane process to remove high molecular weight dextran from hydrogenated dextran and at least about 2,700 daltons of high molecular weight dextran and the heat treatment and purification. To prepare. |
