abstract |
The present invention describes a free radical polymerization method suitable for the synthesis of polymers. This method uses novel sulfur-based chain transfer agents and can be used across a variety of monomers and reaction conditions. In this way, new polymers are produced with low degree of polymerization and predictable specific polymer structures and molecular weights. The polymers prepared in this way are suitable for use as binders in automotive OEMs and refinishing coatings. |
