titleOfInvention | Apparatus and Method of Atomizing and Vaporizing |
abstract | The present invention relates to a device suitable for spraying and vaporizing one or more first liquids by colliding one or more gases with one or more first liquids. The apparatus includes a gas 14 inlet for introducing gas into the device and a first liquid 12 inlet for introducing the first liquid into the device. The discharge end of the device includes one or more first liquid outlets for discharging one or more streams of the first liquid from the device. The outlet end also includes one or more gas outlets that spray the liquid by ejecting one or more gas streams from the device and colliding with the released stream of the first liquid. The first liquid passage 34 connects the first liquid inlet and the first liquid outlet to each other. The gas passages connect the gas inlet and one or more gas outlets with each other. In one embodiment, the gas passage includes one or more gas chambers 50 in thermal contact with the first portion of the first liquid passage such that a heated amount of gas in the chamber draws the first liquid at the first portion of the first liquid passage. Preheat. In another embodiment, the gas passageway includes a pressure damping chamber to continuously release gas without forming a pulse. |
