abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel improved double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst for producing polyetherpolyols by adding alkylene oxides to starting compounds containing active hydrogen atoms. This catalyst comprises from 2 to 80% by weight of polycarbonate, based on the weight of the double metal cyanide, the organic complex ligand and the catalyst. The new improved catalyst has significantly reduced activity while at the same time having a significantly shorter induction time in the preparation of polyetherpolyols. |
