abstract The present invention is suitable for activation as a polymerization catalyst comprising substituted hydrotris (pyrazolyl) borate minor ligands and a plurality of single or multi-toothed univalent ligands (except cyclopentadienyl ligands). A reduced oxidation state of Group 4-6 metal compounds. The present invention encompasses polymerization processes characterized by contacting these catalyst compositions with one or more monomers polymerizable by coordination or intercalation polymerization under suitable polymerization conditions.
