titleOfInvention | Preparation of Asymmetric Cyclic Ureas Through a Monoacylated Diamine Intermediate |
abstract | The present invention relates to an improved process for the production of asymmetric cyclic ureas and to intermediates in the production of asymmetric cyclic ureas. In the process of preparation, the diamines of formula (I-a) can be optionally monoacylated to yield asymmetric monoacylated diamines which can be converted to asymmetric intermediates. Asymmetric intermediates can be further alkylated, cyclized and / or modified to yield compounds useful as HIV protease inhibitors for the treatment of HIV infection. The present invention can produce a variety of asymmetric cyclic ureas in large quantities.n n n <Formula I-a> |
