titleOfInvention Hydrophilic and external gel formulations containing kojic acid for the treatment of discoloration and freckle
abstract The present invention relates to a topical preparation for treating novel bleeding freckles containing kojic acid, and relates to a preparation in the form of a hydrophilic gel. This formulation is a gel formulation containing hydrophilic polymer that absorbs water and swells, and contains plasticizer and moisturizer. It has the advantage of being able to control the release of the drug from the gel matrix. The gel base constituting the formulation is characterized by a transparent appearance, low toxicity, and excellent drug dissolving ability.A reverse thermal gellation reaction forms a gel at room temperature depending on the type of polymer and forms a sol in a refrigerated state. or viscous as semi-solids by suitable gelling agents. In addition, by using various additives including stabilizers in the gel base of the present invention, problems such as skin irritation such as redness and pruritus caused by acidity of the drug itself of kojic acid and instability to air and light could be improved. When applied to the skin, it was possible to minimize the physical irritation of the applied skin (the phenomenon of pulling or stiffening the skin as the dry polymer film was formed) due to the formation of a dried polymer film, which is commonly seen as moisture evaporated in the gel base.
