| abstract |
It is a non-aqueous sized glass fiber that can be used for polymer reinforcement. The sizing composition contains one or more film formers and one or more coupling agents that are miscible with the polymer being reinforced. The sizing composition of the present invention provides a glass fiber 1A that can be wire coated with the polymer 2A to be reinforced, eliminating the need for an extrusion or drawing process to make glass / polymer composite fibers, blends or pellets. |
