abstract By carrying out the polymerization reaction in the presence of a metallocene catalyst comprising a specific crosslinked bis-indenyl compound in which the 3-position of the indenyl group is substituted, the molecular weight is large, the molecular weight distribution is narrow, and the comonomer unit distribution is very excellent. Highly uniform ethylene based copolymers can be obtained at industrially interesting temperatures.
