Polymer compositions having improved elongation |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising a homogeneous ethylene / α-olefin interpolymer, a wax and a nucleating agent, wherein the nucleating agent has an elongation at break of the polymer composition containing the same that is greater than the elongation at break of the comparative composition without the nucleating agent. It is provided in an effective amount that makes it larger than 50%. The polymer composition of the present invention will be useful in applications that require high extensibility upon breakdown while maintaining high crystallization onset temperatures (eg, high speed coating of fabrics, carpet backings, floor tiles and sheets, and adhesives). |
