abstract The constant Z101 is divided by the constant I102 to calculate the remaining R109. The constant I102 is constituted by a power polynomial of the basic operation unit of the computer. Thus, by limiting the integer I to be subtracted along the basic operation unit of the computer, the shift operation used in the conventional calculation method becomes unnecessary, and it is possible to calculate the remainder using only addition and subtraction processes. Therefore, the code size becomes compact, and the remainder of the integer can be calculated at high speed.
