| abstract |
The present invention relates to a water purification apparatus for oxidizing and purifying organic material (s) of raw water with a catalyst (especially a photo-catalyst), the apparatus comprising: an inorganic coagulant added to dissolve raw water containing catalyst particles dispersed therein. Oxidation treatment tanks 1 and 12 for storage; A light source 2 for activating a catalyst by irradiating ultraviolet light into the oxidation treatment tank; Separation tanks 8 and 12 for separating the aggregated catalyst particles from the raw water by the electrochemical action of the inorganic coagulant; and pH adjusting apparatus for maintaining the diameter of the catalyst particles dispersed in the raw water in the oxidation treatment tank to 0.1 mm or less.
