titleOfInvention Vaccine for the reversible immunocastration of mammals
abstract The present invention belongs to genetic engineering and biotechnology, and more particularly relates to the use of peptides derived from GnRH for immunocastration in mammals. Vaccination was performed in mammals to trigger an immune response that neutralizes the activity of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). The present invention relates to the use of GnRH variants in mammals, wherein the glycine residue at position 6 is substituted with proline: Glu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Pro-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly. The substitution or change induced a superior immune response when tested in pigs compared to native GnRH, and the same results are expected in other mammals because the hormone is present in all species.
