abstract |
The present invention provides a biaryl by reacting an aromatic including a six-membered ring containing an ester or benzyl OH group at 1,4 position with another aromatic in a palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reaction to obtain a biaryl and ester or benzyl OH group thereof. A method for preparing a polymerizable biaryl derivative comprising converting a to a polymerizable group in one or more steps. The biaryls obtained are suitable for preparing polymers used as electroluminescent materials. |
